1. HP 15s eq0024au 3rd Gen Ryzen 5 Laptop
This laptop from HP is an excellent example of cutting edge design mixed with powerful specifications. Let’s take a closer look at all the power it has to offer.
The laptop’s AMD Ryzen 5 processor is one of the fastest ones you can find in the price. For a start, this variant of the processor comes with a 2.1 GHz base speed, which can boost up to 3.7 GHz if needed. With that speed and the 4 cores, you can stay assured that the laptop can hold up under intense tasks and allow you quite a bit of freedom when it comes to multitasking as well.
To further increase the multitasking potential, the laptop has 8 GBs of RAM, which is more than enough to run most of the high-end applications like Adobe. To further solidify this laptop as a productivity powerhouse, it has expendable RAM all the way upto 16 GB so that you won’t be running out of memory anytime soon.
Something else that stands out about this laptop is its storage- it doesn’t have a slow HDD with a lot of space or a fast SSD with little space. Indeed, it comes with the best of both. You geta 512GB of SSD storage, so you can store all the files you want in the drive while enjoying the excellent speeds an SSD offers.
In terms of entertainment value, the laptop offers a huge 15-inch FHD display that produces crips and colour accurate images. Even better, the innovative design actively enhances the immersion through narrow bezels which provide an unobstructed view of the screen. There are some relatively high-quality dual speakers to make the audio match the quality of the visuals as well.
Moreover, this laptop comes with some gaming capabilities as well- it’s one of the best laptops under 50000 when it comes to gaming. It uses an AMD Radeon Vega 8 integrated graphics chip, which is one of the best entry-level integrated GPUs on the market. It can smoothly run some of the popular classics with no lag whatsoever.
Lastly, the design also offers more than an excellent view of the screen. It has a stylish mix of black and white that compliments its exceptionally thin design. The thinness also goes towards significantly reducing the laptop’s weight, which is only 1.7 kg. Of course, the laptop does have its own flaws, the biggest of which is the keyboard; it feels nothing more than a mediocre one.
2. Mi Notebook 14 Intel Core i5-10210U 10th Gen Laptop
The Notebook 14 is a laptop from Xiaomi, which is a brand extremely well-respected due to its excellent low-price and high-value products. The Mi Notebook is one of these devices, and it can provide you with a lot of versatility.
Let’s begin with the processor first. The laptop comes with a Core i5-10210U, which is far superior to all its Core i3 counterparts. The 8 GB RAM goes well with the processor’s already excellent speeds and multitasking capabilities which come from it having 4 cores. You can flawlessly multitask with the laptop, whether if you’re doing what you usually do or putting the extra load of your work on it as you do so.
Furthermore, the processor also has an exceptionally higher maximum clock speed, especially for the price. It can go up all the way to 4.2 GHz, and it features 8 threads. Hence, the laptop can take all the heavy work you throw at it with no issues. If you’re looking for pure power but want the assurance of a reputable brand, then this laptop is undoubtedly the best choice. It certainly is a sure pick for our list of the best laptops under 50000.
Even better is how easily you can move the laptop around despite the high-quality hardware it comes equipped with. The laptop only weighs 1.5 kgs. With both the weight and the anti-glare display of the laptop, it’s a perfect choice for travels. The anti-glare coating makes sure you can fully enjoy the clear and crisp FHD display even under glaring sunlight. To top it off, the battery life is impressive as well, as the 46Wh battery can easily last you more than 10 hours into the day, without running out of charge.
You’ve probably noticed it already that this laptop comes with everything you’d need to work efficiently anywhere and everywhere. There’s more to the practicality, though. If you want to ease your mind and relax a little, then you not only have the excellent display there for you but also the high-power graphics card. It goes a long way towards making the laptop perfect for graphics work, and you can even entertain yourself with high-quality games. The card in question is the powerful NVidia MX250 graphics card, equipped with 2 GBs of DDR5 VRAM.
Whether you do a lot of multitasking, advanced graphics work or gaming, the laptop has you covered in the cooling department. It already has a rather energy-efficient processor that keeps the laptop from overheating, but there’s also a broader air intake area of 2530mm². There’s even a large diameter fan that keeps up consistent cooling.
More than the incredible power, the laptop also comes with a huge SSD storage. The SSD’s transfer speeds are actually 5 times faster than the average HDD, and you won’t have to regret not going for an HDD as the 512GB space will keep you from ever running out of storage.
The laptop comes with other impressive features as well. The keyboard comes with ABS Texture Keys, which makes for a very comfortable typing experience. Plus, the Dust Protection Layer will keep the buttons at top-condition so that the keyboard won’t be losing its quality anytime soon.
In fact, aside from enjoying typing on the keyboard, you can also type quite fast if that’s your thing- as the laptop comes with a 1.3mm key travel distance. Even the touchpad itself feels great to use, as it’s smooth and unobstructed with no physical buttons.
The touchpad works on an all-gesture mechanism, and the gestures themselves are responsive and easy to do. You don’t even have to worry about accidentally touching the touchpad while you use the keyboard, as it has an integrated palm-rejection feature. You certainly won’t be lacking in productivity if you go for this powerful laptop.
3. Dell Inspiron 3505 FHD AG Display Ryzen-5 Laptop
Dell has always been high up in many top-tier laptop lists. And not only that, these lists contain more than one of their products most of the time. That should be enough to give a basic idea of the quality of their laptops.
As usual, let’s begin with the performance. The laptop runs the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor, which is renowned for its capacity to handle multiple scenarios like movie watching, streaming, multitasking and so on. We’ve tested to see if that’s true by ourselves, and it exceeds its reputation quite easily. Multitasking especially feels quite snappy, and you can effortlessly do things like chatting, watching videos and working at the same time.
The out-of-the-box 8 GBs of RAM compliments on the already snappy performance of the laptop, keeping apps from lagging due to running out of memory. In fact, you never have to worry about running out of memory, not even in the future as the laptop can have a maximum RAM of 32 GBs. This high expansion is one of the best points of the laptop, as most others in the same price point only offer a maximum of 16 GB RAM at most.
Besides, there’s one more thing going for the performance, and it’s the large M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD Not only is it much faster than a regular HDD on its own, but it’s also the more advanced and newer variant of SSDs, and so it offers better speeds. Even more, you don’t have to be conflicted about whether if you want to get an SSD or HDD, as the laptop’s SSD comes with the benefit of both.
In other words, you get the high speeds of an SSD coupled with the large storage of an HDD. 512 GBs of SSD space is going to be more than enough to meet your needs. So, you’ll certainly be able to squeeze every bit of performance out of the laptop.
Lastly, let’s take a look at how it performs when it comes to providing a good amount of entertainment. The large 15-inch FHD display is already more than a lot of other laptops can offer, and the narrow bezels go further towards enhancing the experience of watching things on the laptop. Speaking of the display, it provides a distinct advantage in terms of portability as well, as there is a special anti-glare coating which keeps the screen clear and readable under the sun.
The sound quality seems beyond average, and the laptop has some light gaming capabilities as well, as it uses the AMD Radeon Vega 8 APU, which is one of the best integrated chips around. You’ll be able to make much more use out of it other than gaming too, as the GPU allows the laptop to handle video-editing applications well and run higher resolution videos more smoothly.
4. Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3i 10th Gen Intel Core i5 Laptop
Lenovo’s Ideapad Slim 3i is an excellent basic laptop at a low price, and it’s quite well rounded. In fact, when it comes to basic laptops, it’s undoubtedly one of the best laptops under 50000. It’s slim, light and easy to carry.
To begin with, the Ideapad Slim 3i comes with a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, which allows it to hold up a lot of speed and decent graphical power. It may not seem like much compared to a higher-tier laptop, but it’s well worth the price. It can easily get you through your day, as our tests show that the laptop can efficiently handle all the heavy everyday tasks you throw at it. As the laptop uses one of Intel’s best processors, it doesn’t heat up very much either.
The Slim 3i especially shines in the multitasking department, coming with 8 GBs of RAM which can you can increase up to 12 GB. It’ll never run out of memory if you do so, and you can run multiple apps at the same time while having them perform well and enjoying snappy transitions from one app to another.
The 512 GB SSD further compliments the speed, as it works much faster than an HDD, allowing apps to be more responsive and to load up faster as well. You won’t have to fear running out of space simply because the laptop uses an SSD, as the storage is relatively large for an SSD.
The benefits of speed from the SSD benefits to other scenarios as well, as the copy-paste speeds are extremely fast, while the bootups are nearly instant.
Moving on, let’s take a look at the battery life which is one of the laptop’s biggest advantages; it can easily last more than 5 hours, especially if you use it smartly. Even if it does run out of charge, you don’t have to wait long till the battery is full again. Though the battery life may seem a little shorter compared to the other laptops, the additional fast charge makes up for it. The laptop can charge up to as high as 80% in less than an hour. Hence, you can still opt for the laptop if you go outside often or like moving the laptop around in the house.
That’s not all the laptop has to offer, though. It comes with an exceptional display as well, for the price. The 14-inch FHD anti-glare display is nicely visible from every angle, and the colours are vivid. The bezels of the side are quite thin as well, allowing you the luxury of more viewing area.
Overall, this is an excellent laptop for you to try if you’re a heavy user or someone who likes to move around. The laptop comes with other little knick-knacks that make life a little easier as well. One of such is the webcam. While it may not have the highest of resolutions compared to what its competitors offer, it does come with a privacy shutter and an excellent dual array microphone.
5. Mi Notebook Horizon Edition 14 Intel Core i5-10210U 10th Laptop
Around 50k, Xiaomi offers more than one premium laptop that has solid performance and excellent design. Our tests show impressive results, and its performance easily outweighs what little flaws it has.
This laptop is one of the slimmest and most futuristic looking laptops you can get in the price range. That much is obvious from a first look at the laptop- its bezels are so narrow it doesn’t even have a webcam. Of course, the laptop still comes with a webcam; you just have to plug it in to use.
That may be troublesome for a few people, but the immersion the large and unobstructed screen offers can easily make up for the lack of an integrated webcam. The laptop itself is also easy to carry, as it weighs 1.35 kg which is practically the lightest option in this price range.
The laptop uses a 10th Gen Intel i5 processor. While an AMD one might have performed a little better, this laptop still has a lot going for it in terms of power. The i5 runs all applications relatively fast and doesn’t put up any lag at all. Multitasking isn’t a bother for the laptop either as it features 4 cores.
In terms of pure power, you get an NVIDIA GeForce MX350 graphics card with 2GB VRAM and 8 GBs of RAM. So, aside from using regular applications like MS Office, you can also use the more demanding apps like video editors, Adobe apps and so on.
In fact, you can also watch high-quality videos smoothly. The only thing that we didn’t find good here is that there’s no way to expand the RAM beyond 8 GB. But, if you’re not going to use the laptop too heavily, then this RAM will be more than enough.
Evidently, this laptop comes equipped for heavy use. Which means it’s going to heat up quite often if you make fully utilise the power, There’s nothing to worry about on that front, though.
The laptop is designed to stay cool even under intense situations, with a broad air intake area of 2530mm². There’s more than enough airflow, and to enhance the cooling, there’s also a large diameter fan as well. Of course, Intel’s processor itself is enough to make sure the laptop doesn’t need that much cooling anyway.
Lastly, the storage is also exceptionally fast with the high-quality SSD, and you won’t ever be running out of space as the SSD is one of the larger variants at 512 GB. The transfer speeds are excellent, and the bootups are faster than other laptops around the same price.
Overall, this laptop certainly has everything you’d need; it has an excellent battery too- you can get more than 9 hours of use with the laptop, so it’s certainly not lacking in that department.
6. HP 15 10th Gen Intel Core i5 15.6-Inch FHD Laptop
This laptop of HP’s is one of the most reliable you can find. We’ve tested the performance, it’s always consistent, and even better is that the build quality feels premium. Let’s take a look at all of the feature this laptop offers.
The laptop comes equipped with everything for fast performance. It uses one of Intel’s best processors, as in the Intel Core i5. You won’t be experiencing any lags with the apps at all, and nothing is slow at all- not even for basic usage. The laptop comes with a 512 GB SSD, so browsing the computer itself feels smooth and fast. The transfer speeds are top-notch as well.
Not to mention, that there’s also a maximum RAM expansion of 16 GBs, so you won’t need to worry about app’s lagging because of running out of memory either, and you can future-proof the laptop.
The display is also the same high-quality you’d expect from a laptop considered as one of the best laptops under 50000. The resolution is Full HD, and the viewing area is impressive, with the large 15.6-inch screen and the narrow bezels.
It’s also relatively bright outside with a 200 nits brightness alongside an anti-glare coating to ensure full-screen clarity out in the sunlight. The viewing angles could’ve been better, though.
The keyboard feels very solid to type on- if you plan to use your laptop for writing things often, then you can get the laptop for its keyboard. It’s durable, and should easily last you a long time without needing any kind of replacements.
Though, if you’re only going to be doing light work on the laptop, then the hardness of the keys might feel uncomfortable. In fact, this laptop is excellent for typing on, as it comes with a permanently licensed Microsoft Office 2019 Student Addition for further convenience.
Lastly, let’s talk about the other significant aspect- the camera. The laptop’s camera is one of the best in its class. There was no grain in the output, and everything comes out clear. This camera quality gives the laptop more credence towards being an excellent office laptop. The microphone with the laptop is beyond average as well, so it’s also an ideal choice if you need something for online classes.
7. Dell Inspiron 3593 10th Gen Core i3 FHD Laptop
Here’s a slightly less powerful but just as reliable Dell laptop that might spark your interest. It’s comparatively cheaper as well. If you want a good basic laptop from Dell, then this one is certainly an option you should check out.
The laptop is at the lowest end of the under 50k budget, but if you want a good secondary driver, then this laptop is going to be more than enough for you. It comes with an Intel Core i3 processor, which while being inferior to an i5, still provides significantly fast performance.
All the apps run with no lag, and responses are instant and snappy. Multitasking isn’t very much of an issue either, and you can run many programs at the same time without any problems.
Even more, this laptop also has 4 GBs of RAM, so you’ll still be able to get most tasks done. It’s a downer that it doesn’t come out with a little more RAM out of the box, but you can still upgrade it to 8 GBs. As a secondary driver, that should be more than enough.
It also uses an HDD storage, which might not be what some people prefer, but this HDD is actually faster than an average one, according to all the tests we’ve run. The speed of the HDD is 5400 RPM, which is the highest you can get around this price. Not to mention, it has a massive 1 TB storage so you won’t ever be running out of space.
For more convenience, the laptop also features some useful preloaded licensed apps. One of which is the 15-months trial of the McAfee Security Centre that keeps your laptop safe from viruses at the deepest levels. There’s also a recent version of Microsoft Office’s Student Edition. Lastly, it also includes an updated and authentic version of Windows 10, so you can enjoy all of its new features.
8. ASUS VivoBook 14 Intel Core i5-1035G1 10th Gen FHD Laptop
The VivoBook 14 is a top-tier laptop that certainly deserves to be included in our best laptops list, as it’s one of ASUS’s best mid-range laptop. If you know ASUS well, you’ll undoubtedly feel their excellent build quality in this laptop.
Let’s take a look at the processor first. In this aspect, you certainly get your full money’s worth as the laptop runs on a powerful Intel i5 processor. It can easily hold its own when it comes to multitasking, offering snappy performance without building up heat from the load.
It performed very well in our tests, though we do think the clock speeds could’ve been a little better. However, the performance difference with that is negligible, and you won’t even be noticing anything about it as you use the laptop.
This variant of the VivoBook also comes with more power than you’d expect at the price, and it has 8 GBs of RAM from the start to make the best use of that power. Even better, the RAM is expendable, though only upto 12 GBs rather than the ideal 16 GBs. The RAM uses DDR4 technology, so you can rest assured that the laptop will be running to its fullest potential.
In fact, you can run as many apps as you want without the laptop slowing down, as long as it’s a reasonable number of apps. All of these specifications rack up to give the laptop a great overall speed. There’s still a lot more about the power of the laptop, though.
It doesn’t use the weaker Intel GPUs for the graphics card, but rather a powerful NVidia GPU. The NVIDIA GeForce MX110, to be specific. The card has a VRAM of 2 GB and combines smoothly with the rest of the laptop’s hardware to give you impressive graphics performance. You don’t have to worry about graphical power at all, as the card can even offer smooth performance with video editing and other graphics-intensive apps.
The problem with Intel GPUs is that they don’t have a lot of VRAM, and using shared memory doesn’t really improve their performance. This NVidia card comes with its own 2 GBs of VRAM so that you won’t be facing any issues at all. Moreover, the laptop also has impressive storage options. It runs on a high-speed NVME SSD, with fast loading times when it comes to both app and OS bootups. Plus, the significantly large 512 GB space is a great thing too.
Lastly, another great thing about the laptop is its display. The display has a lot of shine to it, even under direct sunlight. You can enjoy movies with full immersion through the high-res display (1080p), and the narrow design of the bezels which offer more viewing area. To ensure the display is always crisp, clear and visible, it has an anti-glare coating on it.
Other impressive features include advanced security features like a Fingerprint Reader, an efficient fast-charge option and reinforced chassis. It comes packed with both power and features. Overall, this is certainly a beast of a laptop and will be more than enough to satisfy you.
9. Lenovo IdeaPad S340 10th Gen Intel Core i3 Full HD Laptop
As you’ve likely seen earlier in our list, Lenovo has a lot of impressive specifications to offer when it comes to budget laptops. This one had more than satisfactory specifications and works well enough to deserve being considered one of the best laptops under 50000 as of now.
Let’s talk about the performance first, as the specifications are a little lower than you’d expect. But then again, this is one of the best laptops at the lowest end of the 50k budget. It runs on an Intel Core i3 processor, but as it’s a 10th Gen version of the processor, you can still expect high performance.
It can take the load of most tasks with little to no trouble. As long as you don’t do anything too resource-intensive, you’ll be able to enjoy the best performance laptops at this price can offer.
It still comes with 8 GBs of RAM at the start, so you can rest assured that Lenovo is still trying their best to provide the highest level of performance. However, as it’s still a relatively inexpensive laptop, it lacks some of the more important features, like expandable RAM or a more advanced SSD.
The storage options are acceptable for the price- you won’t be getting high-speed 512 GB NVME SSD, but the 256 GB one the laptop does come with is more than enough to offer you fast transfer speeds and sufficient space. As long as you manage the storage well and take advantage of cloud storage, you can easily get through with the 256 GBs.
It has no gaming value, but it makes up for that in being able to run important resource-intensive apps and high-quality movies. For a quick little bit of fun, though, you can still run the older games. However, the laptop’s biggest point is its productivity value.
Besides, the laptop’s portability gives further proof to that. It’s powerful but only weighs 1.6 kgs so you can effortlessly carry it around. You’ll find that it’s comfortable to hold as well, being thinner than the other options at the same price. More than that, the body itself is also very solid and durable, so it’ll last you a very long time.
Let’s talk about the display now- another one of the aspects that make the portability of the laptop more attractive. It’s visible under every kind of lighting because of the anti-glare coating. That, along with the FHD display, narrow bezels and high-quality speakers combine to give you a fantastic movie-watching experience everywhere. If you like to travel a lot, then this will undoubtedly be an attractive option for you.
As we mentioned earlier, the speaker quality is also something to be admired as the laptop’s speakers sound much better than the average ones we’ve noticed in standard laptops. They use Dolby Audio so that you can enjoy the full immersion.
With all that, the laptop still offers a lot of other things, the most notable of which is the long battery life. It can last you a long while whether if you’re doing some light use or watching a movie. You’re covered even if the charge runs out, as the laptop features fast-charging. It charges all the way to 80% in less than an hour.
10. Acer Nitro 5 Intel Core i5-9th Gen Gaming Laptop
Of course, no best laptops list is complete without a gaming laptop. Up until now, we’ve listed laptops that either has good overall power for work or are great for basic use. If you were looking for a gaming laptop, then you don’t have to look any further. This Acer laptop comes in different variants; we’ll be talking about the Intel variant.
Before we get to the performance bit, let’s take a moment to talk about the laptop design. The laptop follows the gamer aesthetic to a T, looking unique yet slim at the same time. The coloured lighting is definitely a plus as this is supposed to be a gaming laptop, and it’s nice to look at.
Now, about the performance- it uses 9th Gen Intel Core i5 rather than a 10th Gen, but it makes up for that with other powerful hardware. The processor itself is quite fast on its own, with a maximum of 4.1 GHz clock speed. Multitasking on this processor isn’t a problem at all, and it can handle heavy gaming with no issues.
The integrated GPU doesn’t really matter, as the laptop comes with its own dedicated graphics card. It uses an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, which is perfect for gaming by itself, and even better is that it offers a 4 GB VRAM. Playing high-quality games like PUBG or GTA V is never going to be a problem.
The RAM is attuned to gaming as well. The laptop comes with 8 GBs out of the box, which is enough for most games. However, the best thing about the RAM is that you can upgrade it to as high as 32 GBs if you need. Such a high RAM means that the laptop is perfect for multitasking and graphics design as well, though the card and processor are more optimised for gaming.
In terms of storage, this laptop uses a rather unique and powerful combination of hardware. The 7200 RPM 1 TB HDD is going to be more than enough to fit all your gaming needs, allowing you to install a large number of games.
The best thing is that a 16 GB Optane Memory also enhances the HDD performance to near SSD levels. Optane Memory is an advanced hardware component that allows a user to achieve the benefits of both an HDD and an SSD. Regardless of what game you play, you’ll get more than two times faster loading speeds over what you’d get from a regular HDD.
At this point, you must be wondering how long the laptop’s charge is going to last with all the power. Well, we’ve got good news. Our tests show that with smart use, the laptop’s battery can definitely last you the advertised 8 hours. At a minimum, we’ve been able to use the laptop for at least 5+ hours, and it didn’t take very long to charge up either. With the fairly recent processor and Acer’s own effective battery tuning, there’s nothing to worry about the battery at all.
Overall, this is an ideal laptop for any gamer or any heavy user. Better yet, that’s not even the end of the feature list. The laptop’s overall build quality is solid. That includes the keyboard and touchpad quality.
The touchpad’s responsive and the keyboard will more than last you a long while even if you use the WSAD and other keys a lot. The display is an FHD IPS display, and the speakers have multiple enhancements to offer maximum immersion.
11. HP Pavilion x360 Touchscreen 2-in-1 FHD 14-inch Laptop
This HP laptop is easily going to be an attractive option for you if you’re into graphics design. In fact, it’s one of the best graphics design laptops under 50000. It comes with all the features you need and a lot of power.
Let’s get to the performance first. For a mid-budget graphics design laptop, it does have enough power to give you a smooth experience. It might have an i3 processor, but as the processor is 10th Gen, that you can easily overlook. Plus, the laptop makes up for it with other convenient special features.
The clock speed can go up quite high as well, so you can rest assured that the laptop won’t be lagging behind under intense load. Its base clock speed is 2.1 GHz, but it can boost up to 4.1 GHz if needed.
The laptop also comes with high RAM to keep itself running smooth- which is 8 GB, right out of the box. If needed, you can increase the RAM up to as high as 16 GBs, which should be more than enough for a graphics design laptop.
Besides, there’s also a large NVME SSD to keep things running at fast speed. Having an SSD will make the laptop open up files faster, which is crucial if you open large files regularly. As a lot of graphics design apps make save files, having the NVME SSD, which is the fastest SSD available can truly speed up your work process. Plus, you don’t have to worry about storage, even if it doesn’t come with a huge HDD. The SSD itself offers 512 GBs of space, which should be more than enough for the budget.
The display and body design are where this laptop truly shines. For a start, the display is not only a colour-rich FHD display, but it’s also bigger than most displays due to the lack of thick bezels. Having a great screen and a clear display is paramount to being a good graphics designer, so this laptop’s display is definitely a huge plus point.
On top of all that the laptop has touchscreen input, which you can take advantage of to do better and more precise designs by your own hand, In fact, you can use the laptop to its fullest potential by combining the touchscreen with a high-quality stylus, like any ones from Adonit or Wacom. These are expensive but excellent for professional work.
You can make even better use of the laptop’s touchscreen by flipping the keyboard to the back. Indeed, you can hide away the keyboard in the back and use the screen only like a tablet. By doing so, you can design more naturally and just generally give more precise inputs to the laptop.
Essentially, you’re getting a tablet that has a keyboard and the power of an actual computer instead of an Android. Moreover, the laptop weighs only 1.58 kg, so you can make use of its tablet form to work comfortably when you’re outside.
Lastly, the laptop also has good entertainment value, and so you can even use it as a regular driver.
Best Laptops Under Rs 50000 – Buying Guide
Now that we’re done with the list of individual laptops, we’ll go through all the general information you could read to ensure you get the perfect laptop that meets all your expectations.
Types Of Laptops
There are different laptops available in terms of specifications- Gaming Laptops, Graphics Laptops, Student Laptops and Basic ones. Your choices might be a little limited with a budget of 50000, but not significantly so. You can still get quite a lot of power if you buy the best laptops under 50000.
1. Gaming Laptops
Gaming laptops are laptops that come with a lot of processor and graphics power. They are generally quite expensive. Although surprising as it may sound, you can still get a decent gaming experience with a laptop under 50000.
The virtual memory or VRAM of a graphics card goes a long way towards determining it’s power, and some laptops in this price range do come with a significant amount of it.
For instance, you can get the NVIDIA GeForce MX350 in such laptops with 2 GBs of DDR5 VRAM. The card is good enough to play big games like GTA V smoothly with medium settings. So, if you were looking for a budget gaming laptop, this price range would be the right one to go for.
2. Graphics Laptops
Graphics laptops come with specifications geared more towards providing a good visual experience with consistent speed. To clarify, they usually have a fair amount of power to handle design-based applications and have high-quality displays that reproduce colours accurately. Some laptops also come with significant advantages like touchscreen controls or stylus pen support.
For a budget of 50000, you can get 10th Gen Intel laptops that also have touchscreen support, to help the user be more precise with their input. There won’t be much going for processor power with these laptops, though.
3. Student Laptops
Student laptops are generally cheaper, as most students don’t usually have a job or if they do, it’s a part-time one. They come with just enough power to give a satisfactory amount of entertainment, mixed in with a good processor to help do projects more comfortably. The best laptops under 50000 for students would be the ones that use an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 as a processor.
You can get some good picks for such activities at this price point, though you’d be better off getting a laptop under 40000 if you plan to use it mostly for studies.
4. Basic Laptops
These are the weakest types of laptops, though they’re no less useful. The lack of power provides more room to expand on battery life, and there’s usually just enough power in these laptops to allow light multitasking. Basic laptops are great options for offices as well, as they can be bought at bulk due to the low prices.
If you’re looking for a secondary driver or just something you can browse and chat on, then you can go for basic laptops. Although for a basic laptop, the best laptops under 30000 might just be enough for you- they’re the cheapest you can get without compromising quality, and they’re still quite handy for basic use.
AMD Processor VS Intel Processor
When you’re considering a processor for the laptop you want, you’d probably think of Intel first. After all, it’s quite reliable and robust on its own. However, AMD processors are also just as good as options- they’re newer, but they’ve advanced a lot more since they initially started making processors.
At this point, AMD processors are practically at the same level of Intel processors in terms of power. In fact, AMD processors are already becoming more powerful as the brand continues its venture of combining the processor and graphics into one single chip.
At this price, AMD processors are much better than Intel ones, though the latter might outdo AMD at a few other price ranges.
At 50k, some of AMD’s processors will offer more cores or threads, alongside faster PCIe 4.0 connectivity. Some Intel processors do have faster PCIe connectivity at this price range, but AMD ones have better combinations of cores and threads to increase overall performance.
If you intend to game on the laptop, you should choose an AMD processor which will provide stronger integrated graphics. Intel processors can still play less intensive games, but they’re more suited towards multitasking.
HDD Vs SSD
There are two storage types you can get under 50000. You can go for laptops with HDD storage or ones with SSD storage. Some Rs 50000 laptops actually come with both SSDs and HDDs, but comparing the two will give you an idea on what to focus on the most. To start off, let’s talk about the key difference. HDDs will allow you to get more storage at a far lower price point, while SSDs will have less storage at a higher price.
In terms of speed, SSDs will be noticeably faster than HDDs. There won’t be any performance difference graphical wise- you won’t get more speed in videogames. The increase in performance will show when you’re using the computer normally. Navigation will be smoother and snappier, and apps will load up much faster. The bootup speeds are going to be faster as well.
Additionally, SSDs will also have quicker copy-paste speeds. Something specific about SSDs in this price range is that you can get M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs, rather than the SATA ones. These are faster and help the laptop be more lightweight and thin.
Things to consider before buying the Best Laptop under 50000
After you’ve decided the type of laptop you need to get; you need to look into the little details as the exact specifications will determine the performance you get. There are a lot of options out there in terms of hardware, so you need to make sure you get the right set for yourself.
As the processor will determine the overall speed of your laptop, you’ll need to get the best in the budget. Even in terms of gaming, a good processor will go a long way. That’s because if you don’t have a good processor, you’ll have to deal with bottlenecking which will make your games perform worse even if there’s a good graphics card. The newer processors are generally good enough, as the old ones aren’t fast enough to handle necessary data transfers and logic processing.
AMD processors are better for this price range, specifically the AMD Ryzen 5 ones, but if you want to go for intel, you can go for the Core i5 ones. Just make sure that the processor is a 10th Generation one, for maximum performance. Keep note of the cores as well; a good Rs 50000 laptop should at least have 4 cores.
If you intend to get a laptop for 50000, then you’d likely be planning to do resource-heavy tasks on it. To be able to do that, you should certainly make sure that the laptop has at least 8 GBs of DDR4 RAM. The speed of the RAM, on the other hand, should be at least 2666 MHz.
Also, whatever you do, always make sure that the maximum RAM expansion support is at least 16 GBs. You can find that in laptops of even lower prices, so if you want to future-proof the laptop and actually game on it, then you should make sure that the laptop supports that much RAM.
In fact, some graphics cards use shared memory from the main RAM in order to perform better, so it’ll only be more beneficial for you. Although, for a basic laptop, 4 GBs of RAM or a lower maximum RAM will do just fine.
We’ve already talked about the types of storage in detail earlier, but for a recap, we’ll talk about the most important parts again.
HDDs are slow, but they give you a lot of space at a smaller price and are more durable. SSDs, on the other hand, provide much less space at the same price of an HDD that offers more. They’re more compact than SSDs, but a little bit less durable.
You’ll also find more advanced SSDs at this price range, which are the M.2 PCIe NVMe ones. They’re much faster than the regular SSDs. The highest amount of storage you’ll get for an HDD at this price is TB, while it’s 512 GB for an SSD.
4. Battery Life
The battery life should always be significantly long at this price range- after all, if a brand can’t take advantage of the high-quality processors available, then the rest of the laptop probably isn’t that good either.
These processors are more power-efficient than their cheaper variants and can last a good 8 hours or longer with the correct utilisation. Read reviews to find out how long the laptop lasts, and try not to go for a laptop that has high-powered components but lasts on battery for only a short while.
We recommend reading up on tips to save battery and doing some advanced optimisations you can do to make the battery last a long time. Some of the easy things you can do are always to keep the battery charge within 20%-80% (because li-ion batteries last longer that way), keeping multitasking to a minimum and keeping wireless functions like wi-fi and Bluetooth off.
These are only some of the few things you can do; you can also do some modifications to the OS itself to further increase the battery life, especially if you’re an advanced user.
There are several factors you need to consider before you consider getting the display- these factors include how much battery life you expect from the laptop, what you’re going to use the laptop for and how you’re going to use it.
Higher quality and bigger laptop display will consume far more battery than a lower quality one, so if you’re aiming for a laptop with good battery power, then you should focus on the other specifications like the processor itself.
If you’re an avid movie watcher or Youtube user, though, then you’d likely be more satisfied with the higher quality displays. If you go for the latter, then the best displays you can find are the FHD ones combined with anti-glare coatings.
Also, if you’re going to be using the laptop to watch things with other people, you should check the viewing angles of the laptop and see if everything is clear on different sides. Some laptops easily distort beyond the standard angles.
6. Graphics Card
It may seem surprising, but you can actually get decent graphics from laptops of this price range. There are some rare laptops with dedicated graphics and relatively high VRAM, where you can play larger games like GTA V or Tomb Raider games. Some of the integrated graphics are of high quality too.
For instance, the AMD Radeon RX Vega 6 of the Ryzen 4000 Processor series can match the performance of a dedicated GeForce MX150, which should be enough to be evidence for its quality.
Integrated Intel GPUs are good as well, but at this price, AMD ones almost always outdo Intel graphics. Intel UHD graphics aren’t particularly known for their performance, so if you want to play games smoothly, you should pick a laptop with AMD graphics.
7. Screen Size
The screen size won’t impact your performance much, as the resolution is what matters when it comes to the laptop display impacting performance. However, it would be best if you still considered it for the portability, as the smaller the display, the easier the laptop will be to carry.
If you are getting a bigger display, you have to consider the actual resolution as well. If the resolution is something like 1366×768 on a 15-inch screen, then expect the visuals to appear oddly stretched out. For bigger screen size, an FHD display should always be the priority.
8. Keyboard And Touchpad
The keyboard and touchpad are practically the bread and butter of a laptop. You can connect an external keyboard and mouse with the laptop, yes, but a laptop is the most useful for how compact it is, and for the resulting portability. Hence, it would be best if you made check the keyboard quality before you buy it, as there are different options.
Let’s talk about the kind of laptop keyboards you can get first. The screen size determines the keyboard size. You don’t get bigger buttons; instead, brands add additional numeric pads to laptops that come with bigger screens. This Numpad provides the user with extra convenience.
Now, about the quality itself- most laptop keys are durable enough and can last through a long time of rough use. However, sometimes they do stop working and wear out, especially if you often type or play games, where the WSAD keys will wear out faster.
When they do, it can be hard to replace them if the keyboard doesn’t have individual keys; you’d have to replace the entire keyboard. Having a keyboard with individual keys means you can easily replace them whenever they get damaged.
The touchpad, on the other hand, is just as important. Lower quality laptops have a problem with their touchpads, where the touchpad doesn’t have a lot of sensitivity and gesture options.
The best laptops under 50000 usually come with high response times, along with several gesture controls. The better touchpads are also bigger, and they provide more space to the user by removing physical buttons and making the clicking gesture-oriented.
9. Number of Ports
Connectivity is crucial if you want to use the laptop to its fullest potential. Hence, you have to make sure the laptop you purchase has all the necessary connectivity ports.
Some laptops don’t even have more than one USB port which can be a problem later on if the laptop’s keyboard and touchpad stop working. With a larger number of USB ports, you’d still be able to use the laptop with a keyboard and mouse in such a situation. The best laptops under 50000 usually come with a multitude of ports.
When checking the number of ports on the laptop of your choice, you should make sure the laptop has each of the following; an HDMI port, a USB Type C port, some USB 3.1 ports and USB 2.0 ports. The last one isn’t very effective, and its quite old, but having at least one of these present helps connect older devices to the laptop.
Having the USB 3.0, 3.1 and USB C ports is more important though, as they have faster data transfer rates than their 2.0 counterparts.
High-end laptops always come with advanced cooling mechanisms, as they’re bound to get hot often if people use them for gaming. Mid-range laptops, on the other hand, don’t have such high specifications, and people don’t use them for heavy gaming.
However, if you do intend to use one of these to play some of the more resource-intensive games, you can ensure low heating issues by going for a laptop with a good processor and brand reputation.
You also need to make sure the laptop’s air ventilation is adequate as well. If you really need to ensure cooling, you need to get yourself a cooling pad.
Another advantage of having a laptop is that you get an inbuilt webcam with it, which makes it even more tempting as a work device. You can enjoy the benefits of video calling in general, without needing any external cameras. Having one present also makes laptops ideal for online classes.
However, some brands do tend to overlook this component with their laptops. Laptops like these use VGA webcams, which aren’t even all that useable due to the terrible quality. Most the of best laptops under 50000 usually have decent quality, and some even offer extra features and enhancements.
The speakers are something you might overlook when buying laptops. Each laptop uses a speaker of different quality for the most part. So, if you’re the kind of buyer looking for entertainment value, then you should test out the speakers beforehand.
After all, having a good display won’t do you any good if the speakers are so mediocre that they break immersion. Some laptops even have speakers which optimise Dolby Audio to offer a high-quality sound experience.
13. DVD Drives
Some Indians still like using DVDs for watching movies, listening to music or playing videogames. If you have really slow wi-fi at home or use the internet with data, then having a DVD drive can benefit you.
Some laptops don’t come with any, as people are starting to use the internet more for such things. For a developing country like India, however, its always good to have a DVD drive present just in case.
Having one is especially handy if you don’t particularly know how to program a Flash Drive to install Windows, as you can use a Windows Installation disk instead.
The brand is crucial for when you’re purchasing a laptop. Components are easy to produce, and a lot of less known brands go for cheap ones to take down the overall price of the laptop. Laptops from this kind of brands usually have some heating issues as well.
If you go for a well-respected brand, you’ll get the best value for the money. Customer care is also a concern; you’d find it harder to maintain and take care of your laptop through the customer care if you go for one of the less known brands.
While most of the advanced users can take care of their laptops by themselves, there are times when hardware-related things are better off on the hands of experienced professionals. Usually, things wouldn’t be a problem with a full desktop. But, with laptops, there’s more of a risk involved as the design is more complicated, to make the compact form of the laptop work.
So, having a good warranty is always a great thing to have. You’d usually get the best warranty from well-known and respected brands.

Best laptops under 50000 in India – Frequently asked questions
1. Are there any good gaming laptops under 50k?
Gaming laptops are generally quite expensive due to their high-powered CPUs and graphics cards, which are rather costly hardware components. Prices go up even further with laptops, as the parts need to be made through some rather advanced technologies to make them compact enough to fit into a laptop.
As such, lower-priced laptops aren’t usually gaming capable. However, the best laptops under 50000 usually do have decent hardware and can play a lot of games, including some of the heavier ones.
2. What kind of processors will I get in this price range?
You can get some of the better mid-range processors with a 50k budget, which run much faster than their inexpensive counterparts. The best processors in this price are the Intel Core i5 and AMD Ryzen 5 processors, both of which can handle relatively heavy multitasking and gaming.
3. What kind of battery life will I get from a 50k laptop?
Laptops around 50k come with good cooling and exceedingly power-efficient processors. So, you can expect the battery life to be far beyond average. A laptop in this price range needs to at least last 8 hours, but with smart use and the right choice, you can easily go longer than 10 hours with one of these 50k laptops.
4. What configuration is enough for a student?
Most of the higher-spec laptops will do just fine for studies. However, suppose studying is your primary focus, and you don’t intend to game much on the laptop. In that case, you should pick one with a decent amount of processing power and good multitasking capabilities. Having a relatively higher clock speed over basic laptops and a high RAM (8GB at the minimum) will be able to satisfy you in most scenarios.
5. How good is a 10th Gen CPU?
Yes. With each generation, there are significant improvements to the CPU. They have increased power efficiency and come with more advanced technology. For instance, 10th Gen CPUs use wi-fi 6 and Thunderbolt C, which allows for faster data transfer and internet speeds.
6. Are 50k laptops suitable for graphics design?
You have to go for the pricier options around 50k if you intend to use the laptop for graphic design. Photo and video editing applications need certain specifications to run. To clarify, the laptop needs to have a good graphics card, high RAM, a powerful processor along with a relatively large SSD for maximum performance when it comes to running resource-intensive graphics software.
As the budget isn’t high enough for a particularly high-spec laptop, you’d have to look closely to ensure that the laptop has enough power to keep applications responsive, without buckling under the stress.
7. Does online learning require high-level graphics?
Not at all. If you intend to get a laptop solely for online learning, then you’re better off not going for a powerful graphics card as it’s one of the components that makes a laptop so expensive. Although, having a medium-range graphics card might be beneficial, as it would allow you to future-proof the laptop and keep it available for other potential uses like graphic design, and light gaming.
Besides, having some extra room for entertainment would be good to have after heavy study sessions, as in many areas people can’t go out to refresh their minds since many of these are contaminated and unsafe.
8. How good are laptop webcams?
If you do online classes or talk to people regularly, then you might want to check the webcam quality of the laptop. Most laptops do come with quality cameras, except for the budget options. The best laptops under 50000 usually come with decent quality cameras. Some laptops will come with VGA cameras, which is unacceptable for a laptop at this price.
9. How do I ensure my laptop remains upgradeable?
In terms of upgrades, you won’t have a particularly high amount of freedom as the laptop only costs around 50k. However, you can still future-proof the laptop. The first thing you can do to ensure that the laptop can last long into the future is to see if the laptop uses DDR4 RAM and if it supports at least 16 GBs of expansion.
This will also make your laptop stay at full performance longer, as the initial memory often isn’t enough for many software. If that happens, there will be more stress on the laptop. As a result, it will wear out much faster.
10. What Windows 10 versions do laptops usually come with?
Normally, laptops that use the Windows 10 operating system have the Home or Pro version. If you’re a regular user, then you likely won’t notice any difference. You’ll still be able to enjoy some benefits with the Pro version of Windows 10.
Windows 10 Home is more of a simpler version of Windows. You get all the necessary features. Windows 10 Pro, on the other hand, comes with advanced tools and features like the Bitlocker tool, Group Policy Management and Assigned Access 8.1. All of these can grant a lot more control to a power user.
The Bitlocker tool allows the user to encrypt hard disk drives, and the encryption also works with USB drives. Assigned Access can also provide the user with significant advantages, allowing them to lock up other accounts and even prevent usage of specified apps.
Group Policy Management is especially useful. It doesn’t do much for a regular user, but a power user can make significant performance adjustments to the laptop and even do some customisations that are otherwise inaccessible.
That concludes our guide for buying good laptops. Our list has laptops for all kinds of users, and even for heavy users. After all, it’s rather hard to find good laptops with reliable power and dedicated graphics at this price range.
